Gitxsan Child & Family Services was founded on the belief that our children are precious and must be protected, nurtured and cared for as they are the future of the Gitxsan Nation.

The Gitxsan Ayookw (law) carries timeless values and wisdom; these will guide service delivery and program development and a natural way to protect our children.

Our Mission is to provide community-based, culturally sensitive support, prevention and protection to Gitxsan children and their families. It is the hope of the GCFS that our work will assist in the prevention of removing our children from their families, our focus is to provide more prevention and support services.
